Samia Vanderkolff
Samia is a distinguished figure in the marching arts community, currently serving as the Movement Caption Head for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. She has an extensive background in movement instruction and contributes her expertise to various top-performing ensembles nationwide. Since 2018 she has been an educational affiliate of UDB and holds a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology. Pursuing a PhD in Clinical Exercise Science with a focus on Biomechanics incorporates her commitment to understanding the scientific principles behind human movement. Her academic pursuits complement her practical experience and allow her to apply scientific insights to her choreography and instruction.

Bri, based in Anaheim, CA, is an educator, choreographer, and movement specialist with over 10 years of experience in the marching arts and dance world. She holds a BA in Sociology with a Dance minor from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, an MA in Leadership from Chapman University, and an AA in Dance from Mount San Antonio College.
She has performed, taught, and choreographed with ensembles across the U.S. and Latin America, and now currently works on the Movement Team at Bluecoats and as a Studio Manager at DanceLova Dance Academy in Irvine, CA. With a foundation rooted in dance education, she provides instruction and choreography that’s creative, safe, and designed to help performers of all levels grow with confidence, skill, and long-term success.

Willie Veenstra
Willie serves as a marching arts designer, providing drill design, program coordination, choreography, visual instruction, and leadership training. He began his marching journey with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps for 5 season both as a trumpet player and head drum major. He joined the visual staff soon after and has served as the visual caption coordinator since 2020. As the marching band director for Cy-Fair High School (2017-2019) ensemble coordinator for Bridgeland High School (2020-2024), Willie continues to lead instruct and clinic with ensembles across Texas and the US including System Blue, US Bands, TBA, TMEA and UDB.
